Tea casks (Fig. 6) and detail of resin protruding from an old cask (Fig. 7). Tea casks are living cultural heritage, as it was common for casks to pass from father to son, or for grandparents to donate them in life to his or her descendant with the most interest in winemaking or viticulture. This explains why, despite the fact that many young people in the area no longer consume VT regularly, they continue to make it out of tradition and as a sign of respect to their elders, living or deceased.
